In August 2011 Jokela Upper Secondary School (Jokelan lukio) and Jokela Secondary School (Jokelan yläkoulu) received a grant form the Finnish National Board of Education in order to start a choir project between the two schools and Waddesdon Church of England School.
Description of project: both choirs will learn songs in Finnish and in English, all songs will be performed in joint concerts in England and in Finland and translations of the songs and project updates will be posted in the blog. Jokela’s schools will visit England in February 2012 and Jokela’s students will in-turn act as hosts to the students from Waddesdon Church of England in autumn 2012.
